Aluminum forks finished by anodizing, so each pitch in the set carries its own color grown into the surface of the metal, as against the plain stainless steel set in this family.
A tuning fork set groups several fixed frequency forks in one fitted case or roll, one fork for each pitch, for hearing and vibration sense testing. The trade sells a small number of recurring combinations rather than arbitrary ones. A two fork set usually pairs 128 Hz and 512 Hz, the frequencies used for vibration sense and for the Rinne and Weber hearing tests. A three fork set adds 256 Hz. A five fork set runs 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 Hz, and a seven fork set adds 64 Hz and 4096 Hz at the two ends of that run. Larger sets are made. Sets are built in two materials: stainless steel, and aluminum alloy finished by anodizing, an electrochemical process that grows a hard oxide layer into the surface of the metal and takes color, so each fork in the set can carry its own color and the color does not sit on the surface as a paint would. Within a set the lower pitched forks are commonly weighted near the prong tips to slow the decay while the higher pitched ones are left plain.

How it is built
- Each fork is one U shaped bar ending in a round stem, with no weld at the bend
- The two prongs of any one fork are matched in mass and length so they sound together at that fork's pitch
- Built in stainless steel, or in aluminum alloy finished by anodizing, which grows a hard colored oxide layer into the surface rather than laying a coating on top of it
- An anodized set can carry a different color on each fork, so a pitch is picked out by its color
- Supplied in a fitted case or a zipped roll, one fork per pitch
- Recurring combinations include a two fork set of 128 and 512 Hz, a three fork set of 128, 256 and 512 Hz, a five fork set of 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 Hz, and a seven fork set of 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 Hz. Larger sets are made and these four are not a closed list

Every batch of steel is ordered to a specified grade and arrives with the mill's own certificate, which identifies the mill and states the grade. TGI checks the material at the factory against its own requirement before it goes into production. That check is TGI's own inspection, not an independent laboratory test.
TGI manufactures in its own factory in Sialkot and also supplies articles made by contracted partner workshops, to TGI's specification. Which applies to a given article is confirmed on your order.
One-year guarantee on Premium and Executive tier instruments, hollowware and sterilization containers: any technical manufacturing defect, including material faults and rust, is replaced free of charge. Damage from handling or accidents is not covered. The year runs from the day the goods leave Sialkot.
If something is wrong with a delivery (a manufacturing defect, or a short or wrong article), tell us on WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery, with a video and photographs of what arrived. Replacement instruments are sent free of charge and dispatched within 24 hours of us seeing them; you pay the shipping, and they reach you as a normal order does.
Damage that happened after the goods left Sialkot is a claim against your carrier. The video of your parcel at the shipping office is sent to you before shipment and is the evidence that claim needs.
