A diagnostic ENT examination set in a zipper pouch: a battery handle with an otoscope head and an ophthalmoscope head, ear specula in several sizes, a bent arm illuminator, a nasal adapter, two mirrors, spare bulbs and a tongue depressor. Made in more than one design and case.
Supplied as non-powered hand instruments. A battery handle can be fitted, but the battery and any powered part are added by the buyer. Tahir Group of Industries does not make, supply or source them.
CE marking under manufacturer self-declaration for Class I, non-sterile, non-powered instruments under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR). This is not a Notified Body certificate, and the issuer, CNC Services, is not a Notified Body.
What it is
A diagnostic set for examining the ear, nose, throat and eye. One battery handle takes an otoscope head, for the ear canal and eardrum, and an ophthalmoscope head, for the eye. The set adds ear specula in several sizes, a bent arm illuminator and two mirrors for the throat and larynx, a nasal adapter for the nose, spare bulbs and a tongue depressor, all packed in a zipper pouch. It is also made in hard cases with a red or a blue lined tray and in several handle colors; the cased designs differ in case and tray, so ask for the piece list of the design you need. An LED bulb can be used in the heads. The batteries are not supplied.

What it does
- The otoscope head examines the ear canal and the eardrum.
- The ophthalmoscope head examines the eye, with a lens wheel (-20 to +20 diopters, or made to the buyer's requirement) to bring the retina into focus.
- The bent arm illuminator and the two mirrors light and show the throat and the larynx.
- The nasal adapter examines the nasal passage.
- One handle serves every head, and the pouch or case keeps the set together as one item.

How to use and care
Otoscope (ear examination)
- Choose a speculum as wide as the ear canal allows without discomfort, and fit it onto the otoscope head.
- Switch the light on.
- Pull the outer ear gently up and back on an adult, or down and back on a small child, to straighten the canal.
- Hold the otoscope like a pen and rest the side of your hand against the patient's head, so the speculum moves with the head if the patient moves.
- Insert the speculum a short way into the canal and look through the window at the canal wall and the eardrum.
- Withdraw, switch the light off, and remove the speculum for cleaning or disposal.
Ophthalmoscope (eye examination)
- Dim the room and set the lens wheel to 0.
- Examine the patient's right eye with your right eye, and the left eye with your left eye.
- From about an arm's length away, shine the light into the pupil and find the red reflex.
- Move in close, following the red reflex, and turn the lens wheel until the retina comes into focus.
- Switch the light off when the examination is finished.
Care and cleaning
- Wipe the handle and the heads with a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant. Do not immerse them in liquid and do not autoclave them.
- Clean and disinfect the reusable ear specula and the mirrors between patients, following your facility's procedure.
- Clean the viewing window and lenses with a lens cloth only.
- Take the batteries out when the instrument will not be used for a long time.
- Store every part in its case or pouch after use.

This is the steel each line is made from as standard. A different origin can be supplied on request (a lower grade in Japanese steel, for example), agreed on your order.
Premium is the line where the choice is yours: 420 or 440C, agreed on your order. Economy is always 410 and Executive is always 440C. Those three are the instrument steels. Hollowware and sterilization containers are made in AISI 202 on a Clinical order and AISI 304 on a Premium or Executive one, and they are not offered in the Economy line at all, which is the section above.

Every batch of steel is ordered to a specified grade and arrives with the mill's own certificate, which identifies the mill and states the grade. TGI checks the material at the factory against its own requirement before it goes into production. That check is TGI's own inspection, not an independent laboratory test.
TGI manufactures in its own factory in Sialkot and also supplies articles made by contracted partner workshops, to TGI's specification. Which applies to a given article is confirmed on your order.
One-year guarantee on Premium and Executive tier instruments, hollowware and sterilization containers: any technical manufacturing defect, including material faults and rust, is replaced free of charge. Damage from handling or accidents is not covered. The year runs from the day the goods leave Sialkot.
If something is wrong with a delivery (a manufacturing defect, or a short or wrong article), tell us on WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery, with a video and photographs of what arrived. Replacement instruments are sent free of charge and dispatched within 24 hours of us seeing them; you pay the shipping, and they reach you as a normal order does.
Damage that happened after the goods left Sialkot is a claim against your carrier. The video of your parcel at the shipping office is sent to you before shipment and is the evidence that claim needs.
