A fixed socket or coupling for a driver, tap or reamer shank, rather than the adjustable chuck-and-key jaws that let the chuck version grip a pin or wire directly.
A T-handle is a hand tool with a short bar set crosswise on the end of a shaft, forming a 'T', which gives the hand more turning or pushing leverage than a straight handle would. In an orthopedic set the shaft most often ends in a chuck (three jaws closing on a key thread, or a keyless quick-release collet) that grips a round pin, wire or driver shaft so it can be turned by hand. The same T-shaped crossbar, without a chuck, is also used as the handle of a chisel-type instrument that is driven by a mallet blow rather than turned (the sternum chisel used to split the sternum at the midline in cardiothoracic surgery is the best known example), and as the handle of a threaded rod that screws into a plate or fragment to tension or draw up a loop of cerclage wire.

How it is built
- Crossbar (the top of the 'T') fixed at a right angle to a straight or stepped shaft
- On some chuck-handle patterns the crossbar spins freely on the shaft, letting the hand keep turning without repositioning its grip
- Working end fitted with a chuck (three jaws closing on a key thread, or a keyless quick-release collet) that grips round stock across a range of diameters
- A separate small T-shaped key, itself crossed by a short bar, turns the geared collar of a keyed chuck to open and close its jaws
- On the chisel pattern the shaft ends in a fixed blade with a lateral strike plate that is struck with a mallet rather than turned by hand
- On the wire-tightener pattern the shaft ends in a threaded stud and a perforated disc or plate that draws up a loop of wire as the handle is turned
- Shaft and crossbar in stainless steel; the crossbar is often knurled, ridged or bulb-ended for grip

This is the steel each line is made from as standard. A different origin can be supplied on request (a lower grade in Japanese steel, for example), agreed on your order.
Premium is the line where the choice is yours: 420 or 440C, agreed on your order. Economy is always 410 and Executive is always 440C. Those three are the instrument steels. Hollowware and sterilization containers are made in AISI 202 on a Clinical order and AISI 304 on a Premium or Executive one, and they are not offered in the Economy line at all, which is the section above.

Every batch of steel is ordered to a specified grade and arrives with the mill's own certificate, which identifies the mill and states the grade. TGI checks the material at the factory against its own requirement before it goes into production. That check is TGI's own inspection, not an independent laboratory test.
TGI manufactures in its own factory in Sialkot and also supplies articles made by contracted partner workshops, to TGI's specification. Which applies to a given article is confirmed on your order.
One-year guarantee on Premium and Executive tier instruments, hollowware and sterilization containers: any technical manufacturing defect, including material faults and rust, is replaced free of charge. Damage from handling or accidents is not covered. The year runs from the day the goods leave Sialkot.
If something is wrong with a delivery (a manufacturing defect, or a short or wrong article), tell us on WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery, with a video and photographs of what arrived. Replacement instruments are sent free of charge and dispatched within 24 hours of us seeing them; you pay the shipping, and they reach you as a normal order does.
Damage that happened after the goods left Sialkot is a claim against your carrier. The video of your parcel at the shipping office is sent to you before shipment and is the evidence that claim needs.
